Gold plated pieces are delicate jewellery items and therefore care should be taken to protect the layer of gold from being worn. Avoid direct contact with water, no showering or swimming in your new jewellery! Take care when using moisturisers, perfume and avoid any excessive perspiration. If you want to clean your jewellery item, use a warm, damp soft cloth and make sure it is dry before storing (do not use any silver cloths or abrasive cleaners to clean gold plated items). It’s strongly advised to keep your treasured pieces stored safely in the bag provided when not being worn and to not sleep in your jewellery, especially the more delicate items.
